The Structural System and Earthquake Engineering Laboratory (SSEEL) cover the full spectrum of structural engineering. We investigate structural behavior at material, member, system and multi-scale levels; perform computational and experimental methods with strong theoretical background; and focus on traditional and emerging research topics such as Earthquake Engineering, Sustainable Structural System, Advanced Realistic Simulation.

The ultimate goals are to improve safety and sustainability of built environment, to advance fundamental science and engineering, to contribute better life on our community, and to prepare future leaders for our profession and society.
